PT DAHANA JsP MHU recently commemorated the 2025 National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Month with the theme “Strengthening Human Resources in Supporting the Implementation of the OSH Management System (SMK3) to Increase Productivity.” The event, attended by the board of directors, took place at the On Site Emulsion Plant (OSEP) in Beruaq JsP MHU on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
In his remarks, President Director of PT DAHANA, Hary Irmawan, highlighted that OSH Month is an opportune time to visit DAHANA’s project sites. He emphasized the importance of implementing OSH principles in every aspect of work to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees.
“Safety is not only an obligation but also a culture that we must build together. By prioritizing OSH, we not only protect ourselves but also enhance the efficiency and productivity of the company,” stated Mr Irmawan.
Additionally, Mohamad Nur Sodiq, DAHANA’s Director of Finance, Risk Management, and HR, expressed his appreciation for the performance of DAHANA’s site employees, describing them as the frontline of the company’s business process and representing its values.
“We want to stress that our work should be guided by three intentions TKP, where T is for Tuhan (God), meaning our work is an act of worship that carries rewards and blessings; K is for keluarga (family), highlighting our work as a means to support our families; and P for pribadi (personal), recognizing that our work provides valuable experience for the future,” explained Mr Sodiq.
Teja Sukmara, JsP VP of the Energetic Material Center at DAHANA, further elaborated that safety behavior reflects the safety culture embedded in each individual, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among individuals to uphold the OSH culture both during and outside of work hours.
“Safety culture goes beyond merely following rules; it is about cultivating a high level of awareness among all DAHANA employees regarding risk prevention. A higher Safety Maturity Level within an organization signifies a stronger collective commitment to maintaining a safe work environment,” he added.
The In-house Training activity was attended by all DAHANA JsP MHU employees, as well as the East Kalimantan Area PJOs. In addition to the event, the President Director, accompanied by the Director of Finance, Risk Management, and HR, took time to visit the DAHANA On-Site Emulsion Plant facilities at the PT MHU Site.
The group of directors also reviewed the MMT charging process in the field and observed the blasting process, which is a crucial stage in the Company’s operations. After witnessing the performance of employees on site, Mr Irmawan encouraged open dialogue, inviting questions and stories from site employees.
