Tanzanian delegation which was part of the Coal and Mineral Mining Safety Course carried out a Field Work Visit to PT DAHANA. The visit that was facilitated by the Center for Human Resources Development for Geology, Minerals and Coal (PPSDM Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, was held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

In his speech, PT DAHANA’s Corporate Secretary Ahmad Fachruddin explained that the PT DAHANA Energetic Material Center (EMC) area is an integrated area for research, development and production of explosives. It even includes a blasting quality test area which can also function a learning facility.

Currently, the PT DAHANA’s EMC area is known as the area with the most complete explosives facilities in ASEAN region and has become a National Vital Object area. On nearly 600 hectares of land, the area is the home to explosives factories and warehouses, office centers, and community service buildings such as Bale DAHANA, Taman Canda, and even forests that function as natural security fences.

“PT DAHANA has the capability to manufacture explosives from upstream to downstream, which consists of explosives manufacturing in Subang to drilling and blasting services downstream. One of PT DAHANA’s advantages is the fact that the Company has experienced professional staff with proven expertise in various fields, including open-pit mining, underground and underground tunnel construction,” said Mr Fachruddin. 

PT DAHANA offers Explosives Manufacturing, Drilling and Blasting Services, Defense Related and Related Services business lines. PT DAHANA also provides blasting services in the general mining, quarry and construction, oil and gas and defense explosives sectors.

Meanwhile, Coordinator of the PPSDM Minerba Evaluation and Accountability Program, Revi Timora Salajar conveyed that this program is an implementation of bilateral cooperation between the Indonesian Government and the Tanzanian Government in the mining sector which is the part the Coal and Mineral Mining Safety Course program being held in Bandung from 1 – 30 November 2023.

“This event is a collaborative program of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. It is a form of cooperation between the Governments of Indonesia and Tanzania which has been in place for a long time but can only be carried out again this year. Hopefully the participants can gain experience and knowledge about the products available at PT DAHANA,” said Mr Salajar.
