PT DAHANA recently held a roll call to mark OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) Month. This event kicked off a series of commemorative activities at the explosives company. The roll call took place at Bale DAHANA in Subang on Friday, January 17, 2025, and was led by the President Director of DAHANA, Hary Irmawan.

This year’s OSH Month theme is “Strengthening Human Resource Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of the OSH Management System to Increase Productivity.” During his speech, Mr Irmawan emphasized that occupational safety is a top priority in all operational activities within the company.

“Held to a high standard, occupational health and safety are not merely about regulatory compliance; they are integral to our corporate culture. Every individual at PT DAHANA plays a crucial role in fostering a safe and healthy work environment,” Mr Irmawan stated.

He further noted that the annual OSH Month serves as a strategic opportunity for PT DAHANA to evaluate and enhance the OSH policies and practices already in place. The Company recognizes that employee health and welfare significantly impact work productivity.

The event commenced at 7:00 AM, with DAHANA employees from various units for a healthy walk, an opening ceremony, a speech from the President Director, and a healthy worker gymnastics session. Additionally, a siren was sounded to officially inaugurate OSH Month.

Teja Sukmara, the Acting Vice President of EMC at PT DAHANA and OSH Month Advisor, highlighted the company’s commitment to promoting a zero-accident culture. He mentioned initiatives underway to enhance OSH implementation this year and beyond, including forming a Safety Officer Team, establishing a Rapid Response Team, conducting emergency response simulations, implementing a Safety Maturity Level Measurement Program, rolling out the KENALI Program (to identify and report hazards), enhancing Safety Officer Accountability, organizing Job Site Visits for OSH implementation at DAHANA project sites, and maintaining ongoing activities such as OSH Coaching Management, 5-minute Talk, safety patrols, safety campaigns, equipment testing, and personnel competency training.

“After this activity, we hope all DAHANA employees will become more aware and motivated regarding Occupational Safety and Health for themselves and their surroundings, as safety is everyone’s responsibility,” said Mr Sukmara.
