Mining Engineering students from Universitas Pembangunan Veteran (UPN) in Yogyakarta visited the DAHANA Campus as part of their Mining Industry Excursion. This visit aimed to provide students with firsthand insight into activities within the mining industry.

The group was welcomed by Juli Jajuli, Senior Manager of Legal and Corporate Communications at PT DAHANA, at the DAHANA Central Management Office in Subang on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. In his remarks, Mr Jajuli stated that the explosives facilities at DAHANA are the most comprehensive in Southeast Asia.

“Welcome to the lecturers and students of UPN at the DAHANA Central Management Office, commonly referred to as the DAHANA Campus. In alignment with our philosophy, the DAHANA Campus is a preferred location for scholars, blasting experts, and other learners to enhance their knowledge about explosives,” said Mr Jajuli.

He also provided a brief history of DAHANA, which originated from the “Menang” project of the Indonesian Air Force. Through various developments, DAHANA has grown to become the hub of Indonesian explosives. Additionally, since March 2, 2022, DAHANA has been a part of the DEFEND ID defense industry holding.

Mr. Jajuli emphasized that in the mining sector, DAHANA is recognized as a producer of advanced explosives featuring the latest technology and as a complete service provider through its Total Explosive Solutions. The company’s workforce comprises skilled, experienced, and dedicated individuals.

To date, customers across Indonesia have placed their trust in DAHANA, and the company regularly exports some of its products to the Asia-Pacific region. DAHANA’s strengths in the mining sector include a diverse range of products that can be tailored to specific field conditions, ensuring effective blasting at minimal costs.

Following Mr. Jajuli’s presentation, the UPN students and lecturers participated in a question-and-answer session before embarking on a tour of the DAHANA Energetic Material Center (EMC). This area includes an explosives factory, warehouse, and various other facilities.

Oktarian Wisnu Lusantono, Coordinator of the UPN Mining Engineering Study Program, remarked that DAHANA has had a significant positive impact on the academic community as a destination for learning, research, internships, and community service. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception provided by the DAHANA team.

“On behalf of the UPN Mining Engineering campus and department, I would like to thank PT DAHANA for always being open to us as a place for our studies. We hope this cooperation will strengthen and positively influence both our knowledge and DAHANA itself. We wish for DAHANA to continue advancing and developing,” concluded Mr. Lusantono.
