Wayang, Regional Dances, and Angklung Serve as Cultural Education Media for Dahana Employees’ Wives.
Bandung, May 29, 2025 — To strengthen ties and raise awareness about the preservation of Nusantara culture, the Tataliwargi Sekar Arum Dahana organized a cultural visit to Saung Angklung Udjo, a renowned center for preserving Sundanese arts and cultural heritage.
Led by Mrs. Fera Churairah, the General Chairperson of Tataliwargi and the wife of the President Director of PT DAHANA, this visit reflects the organization’s commitment to enriching its members’ understanding of Indonesia’s cultural richness and emphasizing the family’s role in maintaining traditional values amidst globalization.
The group received a warm welcome from the management of Saung Udjo and enjoyed a series of captivating cultural performances. The program began with Sundanese wayang golek (puppet show) and included energetic regional dances, culminating in a collaborative angklung music performance featuring children from the studio. Each performance was infused with educational messages highlighting moral values, togetherness, and respect for cultural heritage.
A particularly memorable moment was an interactive session where Tataliwargi members were invited to play the angklung under the guidance of Saung Udjo instructors. Participants also joined in the traditional dances, following the movements of professional dancers in a joyful and warm atmosphere.
“Saung Udjo is not just a venue for entertainment; it is a living space for cultural education. We learned about harmony, cooperation, and the importance of preserving our national identity through traditional music and dance,” stated Mrs Churairah.
This activity exemplifies the mission of Tataliwargi Sekar Arum Dahana, an organization comprised of the wives of PT DAHANA employees, who act not only as family companions but also as advocates for the empowerment and preservation of social and cultural values. Through this visit, Tataliwargi aims to highlight the significant role women play in safeguarding cultural heritage for future generations.
“Culture is the root that unites us. By learning about it, we can develop a deeper love for Indonesia. Today, we are not only learning but also actively participating in its preservation,” concluded Mrs Churairah enthusiastically.
