Cadet students of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Defense Science and Technology (FSTP) of Universitas Pertahanan, Republic of Indonesia visited PT DAHANA as part of an excursion study. The group was warmly welcomed by Cecep Ahmadi Fauzi, DAHANA’s Manager of Human Capital and Manpower Services, accompanied by Akhryan Eka Putra, Assistant Manager of Research and Innovation of Military Products at the DAHANA Campus, Subang, West Java, on Friday, July 12, 2024.

In his remarks, Mr Fauzi stated that in 2022 DAHANA joined the holding of the Indonesian defense industry SOEs (DEFEND ID). The holding is intended as a driving force for the Indonesian defense industry in realizing the independence of national defense equipment. In DEFEND ID, DAHANA has a special task, namely the development of high-energy materials.

“Welcome to PT DAHANA, as previously stated, we are located in Subang, one of the member companies of Holding DEFEND ID which operates in the field of high-energy materials serving the commercial sector such as mining, quarrying, construction, oil and gas and the defense sector,” said Mr Fauzi.

In the military sector, DAHANA has developed and produced various explosive needs for the Indonesian National Army, including the Bomb P Series for application with Sukhoi aircrafts owned by the Indonesian Air Force, various types of Defense Rockets and Anti-Tank Weapons.

In addition to being a company known for the most complete high-energy material facilities in the Southeast Asia region, as the name KAMPUS indicates, DAHANA is also often a meeting place for academics, researchers, experts, practitioners, and other professionals in the field of explosives.

“We are pleased to be given the trust to be a place of study for FSTP UNHAN students. We hope that our friends can gain knowledge from this visit,” said Mr Fauzi.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General TNI Heri Abriyadi , Deputy Dean of the Field Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Defense Science and Technology, UNHAN hoped that the visit of the Mechanical Engineering student cadets to DAHANA will be a valuable experience for the cadets in understanding the defense industry in the country.

“I would like the cadets to comprehend what was conveyed, as previously conveyed that DAHANA is a Vital Object, meaning we must follow the rules. They should inquire for what is not yet understood and note what has been understood. DAHANA is our defense industry. As national defense cadets, we must be the guard of Indonesia’s defense and therefore ‘do not waste your time’,” concluded General Abriyadi.
