Dozens of Special Forces Command (Kopassus) Students visited PT DAHANA as part of the Basic Specialization Education of Zidem (Demolition Squad) Kopassus Batch 2-Year of 2024. The Red Beret troop group was warmly welcomed by Acting DAHANA Corporate Secretary Erwin Cipta at the DAHANA Campus, Subang, West Java, on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

In his remarks, Mr Cipta said that the DAHANA Kampus is a short for Kantor Management Pusat (Central Management Office). However, philosophically the DAHANA Campus is also a place for research and learning about explosives. As the mecca of Indonesian explosives, the DAHANA (with its) Campus is often visited by the Army, the Police, mining or oil and gas practitioners, and students.

“Welcome to our campus, DAHANA officially moved from Tasikmalaya to Subang in 2012. Previously this belonged to PTPN VIII with an area of 600ha. The land was purchased by DAHANA in the 90s. On the large land, DAHANA could build new production facilities, from explosives factories for commercial and military purposes,” said Mr Cipta.

Mr Cipta also explained that DAHANA has a close relationship with the Indonesian National Army (TNI). First, because DAHANA was born from the womb of the Indonesian Air Force (now TNI AU) through the Menang Project to produce dynamite. In addition, DAHANA also produces military explosives. Products often used by the Indonesia Army are the P Series Bombs for Sukhoi aircraft.

Since moving to Subang, DAHANA has experienced rapid development with establishment of various explosives plants and facilities. Currently, DAHANA’s explosives have gained the trust of consumers in the country and abroad, both for the general mining sector, quarries and construction, oil and gas, and of course the military.

In April 2022, DAHANA was appointed as part of the Indonesian Defense Industry Holding (DEFEND ID) which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo. DAHANA, together with PT Len Industri (Persero), PT PINDAD, PT DI, and PT PAL were given the mandate to be the driving force for realizing the independence of Indonesia’s Defense Equipment.

“We wish you a happy learning and practice, hopefully what you get at DAHANA this time can increase your insight into explosives. But what is much more important is the increased sense of love and pride for domestic products,” concluded Mr Cipta.
