Cadet students from the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan) of the Republic of Indonesia paid an industrial visit to PT DAHANA. The group of academics was welcomed by DAHANA’s SM Corporate Services Ogi Nugraha at the DAHANA Campus, Subang, West Java, Wednesday, 14 March 2024.

Mr Nugraha explained the profile and brief history of PT DAHANA from its birth, from the initiation of the Republic of Indonesia Air Force through the “Menang Project” up to DAHANA’s relocation to Subang and became part of the Defense Industry SOEs holding (DEFEND ID). Mr Nugraha also stated that DAHANA really cares about the world of education.

“First of all, allow me on behalf of the Management of PT DAHANA to welcome all students of the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Universitas Pertahanan Indonesia to the DAHANA campus. It is an honour for us to welcome all our friends, the best young generation of Indonesia; or more precisely, part of the next young generation, as a form of synergy and collaboration between institutions,” said Mr Nugraha.

The abbreviation of the DAHANA Central Management Office is ‘Campus’ which indicates that DAHANA is open to academics, both students and researchers, to collaborate to develop knowledge in the field of explosives. Every month, DAHANA always welcomes visits from various universities or other institutions to learn about explosives.

Apart from welcoming student visits, DAHANA’s concern for the education sector is also demonstrated through its availability for field trip students and interns. DAHANA also regularly sends its employees to teach in ‘practitioner teaching’ program at various campuses in Indonesia, establish research collaborations, and provide assistance to the world of education.

Mr Nugraha said that the Indonesian explosives mecca company is committed to taking part in educating the nation’s life as mandated by the constitution. He said that collaboration between the world of education and the business world will bring benefits to both.

“Once again we would like to thank our fellow Universitas Pertahanan students and lecturers. DAHANA believes that collaboration is very important in building and developing the company, especially collaboration with the world of education. Hopefully this can be considered as carrying out the mandate of the 1945 Constitution to build the nation’s intelligence,” concluded Mr Nugraha.

After receiving a short lecture in the DAHANA Campus Auditorium, 50 student cadets led by the Head of the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Pertahanan, Colonel Tech Dr. Gunaryo, ST., MT. visited PT DAHANA’s non-electric detonator factory located in the Energetic Material Center (EMC) area.
