Supporting Green School, DAHANA Supplies Educational Facilities

PT DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit donated educational facilities to SDN (Elementary School) Darmaga V Subang. Donation was handed over by SER Chair Eman Suherman to Fitri Nur Izzati, Principal of the school SDN Darmaga V, Cisalak District, Subang, West Java on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Mr Suherman said that the donation for educational facility from DAHANA is a form of the Company’s support for SDN Darmaga V, which represented Subang Regency in the West Java Provincial Green School Competition.

“This assistance is a form of the Company’s commitment to education and the environment in Subang Regency. We hope that with this assistance, SDN Darmaga V will get more enthusiastic about participating in the West Java Provincial Green School Competition, and can advance to a higher level, namely the national level,” said Eman Suherman.

As is known, the Green Adiwiyata School Competition activity was an idea from the Ministry of the Environment for schools known as Green Schools. The Green School Competition is meant to encourage the creation of knowledge and awareness among school residents in preserving the environment so as to create a comfortable and healthy atmosphere.

Mr Suherman added, as a company, DAHANA is highly focused on environment sustainability by implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is reflected in the concept of building a central management office with a green perspective which has obtained a Green Building certificate from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI).

Meanwhile, Miss Izzati, representing the school, expressed her gratitude to DAHANA. She also hoped that DAHANA will continue to be a company that cares about society, especially in the fields of education and the environment.

“Thank you for DAHANA’s assistance. I hope DAHANA continues to progress and develop. This assistance means a lot to us as representatives of Subang Regency to the Provincial Green School Competition, please pray so that we can bring pride to our beloved Subang,” said Miss Izzati.
