Students of the Sutaatmadja College of Economics (STIESA) Subang paid a company visit to PT DAHANA for a filed study on sustainable supply chain and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management. Head of Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit of PT DAHANA Eman Suherman warmly welcomed the group of students at the DAHANA Campus, Subang, on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

In his remarks, Mr Suherman explained that DAHANA is engaged in the explosives industry with general mining, quarrying & construction, oil and gas and military business lines. DAHANA provides an array of services such as explosives supply, drilling & blasting, loading & hauling, handling, licensing, warehousing, to explosives destruction.

“Currently, DAHANA has the most complete blasting facilities in the ASEAN region. As the Indonesian explosives company, DAHANA is also committed to advancing and developing together with the community. SER programs were born from this point that further support the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs,” said Mr Suherman.

DAHANA’s SER Unit staff, Janitra Yoga explained in her presentation that DAHANA plays an important role in sustainable national development, both in helping to accelerate the development of the National Strategic Project (PSN) for equal welfare, as well as in the development of the Subang community with various SER programs such as the Healthy Village program, educational facility assistance, environmental assistance, to SME’s development.

In practice, for example, DAHANA’s SER program targets sustainability in the water sector by providing clean water facilities to the community. The company also collaborates with the Subang Health Office to help eradicate stunting issues, as well as the class upgrade program that brings Subang SME to go further to the international market.

On the same occasion, DAHANA’s Procurement Supervisor Yumna Huda explained the supply chain flow at DAHANA; starting from the procurement of raw materials to assurance of the availability of raw materials in the DAHANA warehouse.

During the visit, Lecturer of Management Study Program & Deputy Chairperson of COE MEPS of Subang STIESA, Kuncorosidi, SE., M.Sc. said that his campus is committed to producing quality graduates, and has established centers of excellence such as Managerial, Economics, Productivity and Society (MEPS). Therefore, the college made a company visit to DAHANA, considering that DAHANA is a company operating in Subang with various achievements in terms of supply chain and CSR management.

“We, on behalf of the campus, would like to express our gratitude for the warm welcome given by DAHANA. Hopefully this collaboration can run well, and we hope that students participating in the company visit can focus on the presentation from DAHANA and make sure they can increase their knowledge about supply chain and CSR management and CSR in a sustainable manner,” he said.
