Students of Indonesian Police Administrative Service and their coaches visited DAHANA Campus in order to broaden their knowledge of expertise in explosives and the defense industry. The group of students was welcomed by DAHANA’s Senior Manager of Corporate Service, Ogi Nugraha at the DAHANA Campus on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

In his remarks, Mr Nugraha explained the history of DAHANA which originated from the Republic of Indonesia Air Force’s ‘Menang’ Project. In 2012 DAHANA began to occupy a 600 hectare area in Subang after relocation from its previous headquarter in Tasikmalaya. In Subang DAHANA set up various kinds of commercial and military explosives facilities.

“Welcome to the Dahana Kampus. ‘Kampus’ here is not in the sense of a university, but stands for the Kantor Manajemen Pusat (central management office. Philosophically, it is a place to study explosives. There are frequent arrivals of students, explosives experts study here. We hope that your arrival here can add insight and knowledge about the explosives produced by DAHANA,” said Mr Nugraha.

He added that in April 2022 DAHANA entered into the Defense Industry SOEs holding DEFEND ID. With most complete explosives facilities in Southeast Asia, DAHANA is optimistic that it can carry out the duties of the country to enter the world’s explosives supply chain, encourage the independence of the defense industry, and be able to compete to become a Top 50 Global Defense Company.

Mr continued, DAHANA’s explosives are currently trusted by various well-known mining companies in the country, and are spread in various regions in Indonesia. In practice, DAHANA pays close attention to the safety aspects of explosives, both in terms of production, mobilization, and destruction of explosives.

A total of 32 students attended the event, accompanied by six assistants. They enthusiastically followed the agenda of the visit which included the introduction of explosives delivered by Moch. Surya Nugraha, Commercial Product Research and Innovation Manager at PT DAHANA and a visit to the Energetic Material Center area to see directly DAHANA’s explosives production.

AKBP Parsono hoped that the visit to DAHANA can provide valuable experience for students as they had the opportunity to get and lot of new information about the explosives industry.
