On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, a total of 81 grade XI students from the Mining Geology program at Adi Sanggoro Vocational High School visited PT DAHANA in Subang, West Java. The purpose of this industrial visit was to enhance the students’ understanding of the production process and application of explosives in the mining industry.
One of the students, Achmad Chico Fausta, expressed his pride in the national industry’s ability to produce its own explosives. He noted that witnessing the process firsthand and hearing from experts significantly complemented his classroom learning.
“I am very impressed to see that DAHANA can produce explosives independently. We were also given the opportunity to listen to direct presentations from the experts here. Thank you for the extraordinary experience and warm welcome provided by PT DAHANA,” Fausta said enthusiastically.
During the visit, Fajri, one of DAHANA’s employees, presented the company’s history and discussed its explosives products for both commercial and military applications. He explained that DAHANA aims to become the leading national industry in high-energy materials by producing highly competitive and environmentally friendly products and services.
DAHANA has successfully developed various products and services, including Cartridge Emulsion, Dabex, Danfo, Dawagel, and Dayadet. The company also has an independent ammonium nitrate factory to supply the commercial explosives market. In the military sector, DAHANA has produced items such as Defense Rockets, the Bomb P Series, and is actively working on developing additional military explosives.
In addition to receiving informative presentations, the students from Adi Sanggoro Vocational School had the chance to observe the process of making commercial explosives at the DAHANA Energetic Material Center (EMC). They were visibly enthusiastic to see one of the most comprehensive explosives factories and facilities in ASEAN owned by DAHANA.
“We hope that PT DAHANA can advance and succeed further, not only becoming the leader in explosives in Indonesia but also expanding its reach in the overseas mining sector:” Fausta expressed.
