PT DAHANA, a leading company in the Indonesian explosives and defense industry, held a Farewell and Welcome event for its Directors and Commissioners on January 7, 2025, at the Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta. This event marked a strategic opportunity to strengthen the Company’s commitment to facing global challenges and realizing its vision as a leader in the national strategic industry.
The succession of the Board of Commissioners and Directors followed the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, specifically SK-306/MBU/12/2024 and SK-304/MBU/12/2024. In his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia and President Commissioner of PT DAHANA, Donny Ermawan Taufanto, urged DAHANA personnel to uphold the spirit of innovation and professionalism that have become the Company’s hallmarks.
Mr Taufanto acknowledged the outstanding performance of DAHANA, including operational stability, financial health, and the successful completion of strategic projects amid global challenges.
“We are proud of what we have achieved. However, the challenges ahead are becoming increasingly complex. Therefore, all DAHANA personnel must continue to innovate, strengthen collaboration, and seek new opportunities to ensure the company remains competitive,” said Mr Taufanto.
He also underscored the importance of business diversification through the “second curve,” which aims to expand DAHANA’s market reach, both nationally and internationally.
In his address, Hary Irmawan, the new President Director of PT DAHANA, affirmed the commitment of the Board of Directors to elevate DAHANA to the next level. Mr Irmawan emphasized the significance of accelerating the company’s business transformation through innovation, operational efficiency, and synergy with various stakeholders.
“We are determined to build on the milestones that DAHANA has achieved. Our focus is on sustainable development and enhancing global competitiveness, both in the defense sector and the commercial explosives industry,” Mr Irmawan stated.
Mr Irmawan also outlined a business development plan that includes exploration of international markets, strengthening of technology, and fostering collaboration with other State-Owned Enterprises under the defense industry holding DEFEND ID. These initiatives are expected to enhance DAHANA’s contributions to national economic growth.
At the event, Wahyu Sofiadi, the Director of Business and Cooperation of PT Len Industri (Persero), represented Series B Shareholders and expressed full support for the acceleration of DAHANA’s strategic programs. He emphasized the importance of synergy within the DEFEND ID holding ecosystem to achieve the vision of becoming a major player in the global defense industry.
The farewell event was attended by representatives of Series B Shareholders, including Wahyu Sofiadi (Director of Business and Cooperation of PT Len Industri), members of the Board of Commissioners of PT DAHANA, and the Board of Directors. Notable attendees included Donny Ermawan Taufanto (President Commissioner), Wahyudi Hidayat, Rizky Olyvia Nasution, Wildan Widarman, and Rusdianto, along with the Directors of DAHANA: Hary Irmawan (President Director), Mohamad Nur Sodiq (Director of Finance, MR, and HR), Yusep Nugraha (Director of Technology and Development), and Abdul Haris Atbaro (Director of Operations). Retired directors and commissioners such as Syaifuddin, Suhendra Yusuf RPN, Ahyanizzaman, and Rina Moreta were also present.
