Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force of the Republic of Indonesia, Air Marshal TNI Andyawan Martono Putra, accompanied by the Assistant for Communication and Electronic, National Air Operation Command (Askomlek Koopsudnas), and other delegates from the Indonesian Air Force, visited the booths of partners PT Len Industri (Persero) and PT DAHANA at the Zhuhai Airshow 2024, held at Zhuhai International Airport in Guangdong Province, China, on Friday, November 15, 2024. They were welcomed by Wahyu Sofiadi, Director of Business and Cooperation at PT Len Industri (Persero), and Suhendra Yusuf RPN, Director of Technology and Development at PT DAHANA.
According to Mr. Yusuf, the visit to the airshow aimed to observe firsthand the advancements in global military and aerospace technology. One focus of the visit included exploring DAHANA’s partnerships in the development of Smart Bombs for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
“The Air Marshal appreciates DAHANA’s collaborations and partnerships showcased at the Zhuhai Airshow 2024. He supports our efforts to engage with various military companies worldwide to enhance the development of military technology in Indonesia, particularly in the field of energetic materials, which is DAHANA’s specialty,” stated Mr. Yusuf.
Mr. Yusuf further emphasized that PT DAHANA has maintained a strong relationship with the Indonesian Air Force since its inception, which originated from the Indonesian Air Force’s Menang Project. At that time, DAHANA was responsible for supplying dynamite to the Indonesian Armed Forces.
With the continued growth of the company, DAHANA now produces and develops military-grade energetic materials. Some of DAHANA’s products, such as the Bomb P Live series, are high-powered explosives utilized by the Indonesian Air Force’s Sukhoi aircraft.
Additionally, to enhance and produce high-quality explosives, DAHANA is open to collaborations with various domestic and international entities. The company believes that fostering partnerships will benefit both DAHANA and the advancement of Indonesian defense capabilities.
“As a company that prioritizes dual-use technology, DAHANA plays a crucial role in advancing military technology, particularly in energetic materials. Thus, the company collaborates with various global firms to develop effective and efficient explosives, such as the Smart Bombs for UAVs,” concluded Mr. Yusuf.
