PT Dahana once again reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the national and global blasting industry through its participation in The 8th International Drill & Blast Conference 2026, held on July 1–2, 2026, at Royal Ambarrukmo, Yogyakarta. Carrying the theme “Blast to the Future – Ignite Innovation, Shaping Tomorrow,” this international conference served as a collaborative platform for practitioners, academics, and mining industry players to share knowledge, technology, and the latest innovations in drilling and blasting.
At the opening of the conference, the President of the Indonesia Blasting Engineers Society (IBES), who also serves as General Manager of Production at PT Dahana, Dadan Munawar, was invited to deliver the opening speech before participants from various mining companies and global blasting service providers. In his remarks, Dadan emphasized that the drilling and blasting industry is currently facing increasingly complex challenges, ranging from global mining industry conditions and national regulatory dynamics to the impact of global geopolitical conflicts. These challenges require the industry to continue operating optimally, effectively, and efficiently through the use of technology.
“The theme Blast to the Future serves as a reminder that the future of the drilling and blasting industry will be largely determined by our ability to adapt to technological developments. The implementation of automation and digitalization will play an important role in improving the industry’s competitiveness. Through this conference, we hope to inspire blasting practitioners and engineers to bring forward new ideas, innovations, and technologies that can address future industry challenges,” said Dadan Munawar.
PT Dahana’s participation in the conference was also attended by members of the Board of Directors, namely President Director of PT Dahana Hary Irmawan, Director of Operations Abdul Haris Atbaro, and Director of Technology and Development Irwan Ibrahim. On July 1, 2026, PT Dahana presented a material entitled “BlendOre: Enhancing Mine-to-Plant Performance Through Smart Analytics,” while on July 2, 2026, Dahana once again shared its experience through a presentation entitled “Transforming Conventional Drill and Blast Operations into a Data-Driven Digital Ecosystem.”
