The field trip visit of the participants of the Safety Guiding Management Program for Oil and Gas Explosives organized by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas to the Dahana Campus was held on August 22, 2019.
“This visit is intended to improve the knowledge and skills of officers who manage explosives in the oil and gas environment,” said Eka, the visiting coordinator of the Prima Daya Migas Cooperative (KPDM).
There were 35 participants representing several companies engaged in the oil and gas industry. Participants got introduced to explosive introduction material in the Class Room of the Dahana Campus Training Center, followed by practice in the Ring I Energetic Material Center Area.
Najamuddin, the head of the training class, said that the visit to DAHANA this time was aimed at finding out what explosives were produced, especially in the oil and gas industry.
“It is a new experience to us. So far have been involved in training on safety and processing of explosive within the oil and gas industry. Here at Dahana, we get introduced to many kinds of explosives,” he said.
