First Class Blasters (Batch=2) of the Center for Geology, Mineral and Coal Human Resources Development (PPSDM Geominerba) conducted a field visit to PT DAHANA. Participants and their companions were warmly welcomed by DAHANA’s Senior Manager for Corporate Services Ogi Nugraha at the DAHANA Campus, Subang, West Java, on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

In his remarks, Ogi introduced a brief history of PT DAHANA which originated from the Menang Project of the Indonesian Air Force, and currently has the most complete explosives facilities in Southeast Asia. Sin 2022, PT DAHANA has officially joined the Indonesian SOE’s defense industry holding (DEFEND ID).

“We welcome the participants of First Class Blasters of Batch 2 of PPSDM Geominerba and their companions. The Campus name that DAHANA uses is an abbreviation of the Central Management Office, not a university. But we have the same spirit, namely as a center for research and development of knowledge related to explosives,” said Mr Nugraha.

Meanwhile, DAHANA’s Manager of Design and Technology for Equipment and Facilities, Shahibuddin Ma’ruf, explained that DAHANA is engaged in various business lines ranging from general mining, quarry mining & construction, oil & gas, to the military. In its operations, DAHANA also offers Total Explosive Solutions to consumers for efficiency and satisfactory blasting results.

DAHANA’s Total Explosives Solutions consist of drilling & blasting, loading & hauling, warehousing, import & re-export, licensing, blasting consultation, up to the destruction of expired explosives.

At the project site, DAHANA is equipped with various technologies to support the smooth operation of blasting such as the On Site Plant (OSP) which is used to produce emulsions, and the Mobile Manufacturing Truck (MMT) which is used for charging explosives.

Some of DAHANA’s leading explosive products include Danfo, Dabex, Dayagel, Dawagel, Dayadet Non Electric Detonator, Dayagel Extra, Pentolite Booster, Shaped Charged, accessories, and various other explosives that can be adjusted to the rock conditions for maximize blasting results.

Representative of PPSDM Geominerba Dwi Suyadi Pasha said that he and the team is very grateful to PT DAHANA which is always open to the implementation of Field Practice for PPSDM Geominerba Blaster Courses. He hoped that the cooperation between PT DAHANA and PPSDM Geominerba can be even closer.

We hope that in today’s activity, we can all share knowledge, experience and strengthen our relationship.
