The Ministry of Defense’s Feasibility Center handed over a Certificate of Approval for Defense Production Facility to PT DAHANA. The certificate was handed over directly by the Chief of the Feasibility Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Commodore Ir. Nono Suwarno, M.Sc. to DAHANA’s Director of Technology and Development Suhendra Yusuf RPN at DAHANA Campus in Subang on 12 December 2023.
In his speech, Mr Yusuf said that PT DAHANA applies for this certificate renewal every year to ensure that PT DAHANA’s product users can be confident that military products are produced in proper facilities and have been certified by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia.
“For PT DAHANA, the renewal of the feasibility certificate from the Ministry of Defense is a form of support for the Company to make sure that the it undertake innovation and production in accordance with consumer needs, both government and defense institutions. “With this certificate, PT DAHANA also hopes to raise consumers’ confidence on PT DAHANA’s products,” said Mr Yusuf.
As is known, PT DAHANA is part of the Indonesian Defense Industry SOEs holding (DEFEND ID) which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo to become the main engine in realizing the independence of Indonesia’s Defense and Security Equipment (Alpalhankam).
So far PT DAHANA has succeeded in producing several defense products such as Bomb P 100 Live, Bomb P 250 Live, Bomb P 500 Live. All three products have exceeded the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of above 50%. In addition to that, PT DAHANA is also developing products such as the BNT Bomb (NATO SHARP bomb) 250, defense rockets, Propellant Spherical Powder, and other defense products.
According to the Chief of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense’s Feasibility Centre, Commodore TNI Ir. Nono Suwarno, M.Sc., PT DAHANA, as a company operating in the defense industry, has an obligation to maintain quality in accordance with the Indonesian National Standards (SNI) for defense products as stipulated by the government of the Republic of Indonesia.
“We would like to express our gratitude for the warm welcome given to us by PT DAHANA’s Director of Technology and Development, Mr. Suhendra and his staff. As what PT DAHANA hopes, this certificate can help the Company increase productivity to realize the independence of Indonesia’s Defense and Security Services,” said Commodore Suwarno.
