PT DAHANA worked in collaboration with PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) for knowledge sharing session on the Limestone & Clay Blasting Process for Inspectors and Prospective Mining Inspectors of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the placement of Aceh Province. The session was held at the PT SBA Plant Quarry Lhoknga, Aceh, on Monday, August 15, 2022.
DAHANA’s Director of Operations, Bambang Agung said, the session is a form of DAHANA and SBA’s support to improve the competence of all inspectors and prospective mining inspectors within the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal of Aceh Province.
“This activity provides technical briefing regarding the blasting process in the mining area. Hopefully this activity can have a positive impact on the participants and assist in carrying out their duties as Mine Inspector,” he said.
During the opening of the event, the Director of Engineering and Environment for Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi, representatives of PT SBA, and PT MAK as mining contractors, and other DAHANA officials were also present online.
The knowledge sharing activity, which was attended by 30 participants, Mining Inspectors and representatives from the Energy and Natural Resource Office of Aceh Province, was carried out through the discussion method. The participants were also invited to see firsthand and learn about the limestone & clay blasting process with dummy explosive products provided by the committee.
Participants then attended field observations on the blasting process, from charging explosives to the blast hole using a Mobile Manufacturing Truck (MMT) unit, the process of blocking the blast hole (stemming) to the tie-up process to the blasting process itself.
DAHANA’s collaboration with PT SBA serves as a commitment to developing superior Human Resources, especially in Aceh where the two companies operate. Previously, the two companies collaborated in organizing lecture on explosives and providing a dummy of explosives to the Faculty of Mining Engineering, Syiah Kuala University, Aceh.
