SUBANG – To ensure that the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) is implemented in each division, DAHANA organized an internal SMAP audit which took place online via zoom and direct meeting from 7 – 8 September 2022.
The Head of the Anti-Bribery Task Force, Bayu Anggoro, said that the internal audit was conducted prior to the external audit, as stipulated in the SMAP guidelines and the Board of Directors’ Regulation on the Anti-Bribery Compliance Task Force. SMAP audit activities are also regularly carried out every year.
“The audit process this time went smoothly. The audit time can also be adjusted according to the auditee’s schedule,” said Mr Anggoro.
Mr Anggoro added that the Anti-Bribery Management System is the Company’s step to encourage the implementation of Good Corporate Governance and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Regulation No. 2 of 2019 on Gratification Reporting.
KPK regulations stipulates that gratification is a gift in a broad sense, including money, goods, rebates (discounts), commissions, interest-free loans, travel tickets and various other facilities provided, both at home and abroad, through or without electronic means. DAHANA employees who receive facilities from fellow or external parties are required to report in accordance with the prevailing provisions.
Mr Anggoro also explained that the benefits of reporting gratification include the possibility of release of threat of punishment for the recipient, reflecting the integrity of the recipient, resolving conflicts of interest, and becoming a self-assessment for companies to report receipt of gratification. Mr Anggoro also hoped that all DAHANA personnel, from top management to units, can comply with SMAP and report receiving gratuities.
DAHANA has finalized the implementation of SMAP in the high energy materials company in 2021. SMAP also reinforces the commitment of DAHANA’s personnel to the core values of AKHLAK, where SOE employees adhere to the values of AKHLAK as a work culture.
“Hopefully, with this internal audit, the implementation of SMAP at PT DAHANA will improve and serve as a preparation prior to the external audit,” concluded Mr Anggoro.
