PT DAHANA held a fun bike event entitled Bikennovation with the Directorate General of Defense Potential (Ditjen Pothan) of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. The event was intended to strengthen ties and commemorate DAHANA’s 58th Anniversary. This joint fun bike activity took place in Sentul City on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
In his remarks, First Marshal Dedy Laksmono, Director of Defense Technology and Industry, Directorate General of Defense Potential, Ministry of Defense expressed his hope that the joint fun bike activity between DAHANA and Ditjen Pothan could provide space for more communication than in formal meetings for further stronger collaboration.
“With this activity, of course the interaction between Ditjen Pothan and DAHANA can be better, where many things can be discussed in a relaxed manner. Hopefully this morning’s activities will make our souls healthy, because we know that health is very valuable and very expensive,” said Marshal Laksmono.
As is known, PT DAHANA and the Directorate General of Defense, Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia are strengthening cooperation in advancing the explosives industry, especially in the field of propellants which are the responsibility of the Directorate General of Defense and entrusted to PT DAHANA for its management.
“Getting together is an extraordinary gift, and hopefully we can synergize even more. We are given more sustenance, given safety, extended life, and also we can carry out our respective duties so that PT DAHANA will continue to advance, grow stronger independent and with higher competitiveness,” concluded Marshal Laksmono.
Meanwhile, DAHANA Operations Director Yusep Nugara said that the fun bike activity with the Ditjen Pothan was held as a means for the Ditjen Pothan to provide directions to DAHANA employees regarding the development of military explosives in accordance with regulations set by the government.
“So far we have received a lot of assistance from the Ditjen Pothan for better related business operation and I hope that we are given more intensive opportunities to get directions, so that we can implement the program in accordance with what the regulator wishes; we remain within the corridor of regulations of the government,” said Mr Nugraha.
Chairman of the Committee for the DAHANA’s 58th Anniversary Wibowo Budi Santoso said that this activity is one of the series of the DAHANA’s 58th Anniversary for which the committee raised the theme of “Innovation with Integrity” to create DAHANA people with integrity and high morals in implementing all forms of innovation within the Company.
