Eight Strategic Industry State-Owned Enterprises (BUMNIS) once again organizes a joint exhibition of their innovation products. The collaborative work was made in a national exhibition on research, innovation, technology called RITECH EXPO 2018.
The exhibition lasted from 09-12 August 2018 at the Riau Governor, in the city of Pekanbaru. The exhibition was under the theme of ‘innovation for food and energy independence’. Owing to this, the strategic industries that consists of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) a.k.a PTDI, PT Pindad (Persero), PT DAHANA (Persero), PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) a.k.a INTI, PT Len Industri (Persero) a.k.a Len, dan PT Industri Nuklir Indonesia (Persero) a.k.a Inuki, PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) a.k.a. PAL, serta PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) a.k.a INKA had related products to the Pekanbaru exhibition.
“This is a repeat INDONESIA BUMNIS effective strategy for marketing and publication,” said Corporate Secretary of PT DAHANA (Persero) Asep Maskandar, acting as Indonesia BUMNIS Coordinator during the event of RITECH Expo 2018 which was officially opened by President Joko Widodo with the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, on Friday, August 10.
The exhibition was held for the fact that Indonesia’s economic growth reached a figure of 5.0%, which is in third position in term of the best among G-20 countries. The growth was made possible because of the success of maintaining inflation rate at 3.18% couple with significant contribution of SOEs. Based on the data available at the SOE Ministry, the SOE has at least booked a total asset of Rp5,395 trillion, with a revenue of about Rp1,728 trillion, tax contribution of Rp220 triliun, and total dividend of Rp38 trillion. Capital spending also enjoyed a hike to Rp 555 trillion which was allocated for construction of 52 toll roads, 17 airports, 13 harbors 19 rail track and other infrastructure. This contribution point is considered to crucial and therefore is it necessary for the BUMNIS Indonesia to repeatedly be involved in such exhibition.
During the exhibition each of BUMNIS Indonesia displayed their excellent products. Pindad displayed some types of firearms such as SS2-V4 HB cal. 5.56 mm, ss2-V7 cal. 5.56 mm Subsonic, SPR 3 cal. 7.62 mm, SPR 4 cal. 338, G2 (tipe Combat+Silencer, Elite, Premium), MAG 4 cal. 9 mm, and under water guns (SSBA) cal. 5.56 mm. Apart from that, Pindad also exhibited Water Canon during the Eye Catching event for the National Technology Awakening Day. PTDI had N219 Interior Dummy, N219 Dummy, dan Media Viewer Interactive for exposition of its current products.
DAHANA had commercial and military explosives, while INTI displayed a set of its excellent products namely INTIPay, INTI Smart Reader, and SANTANU. In addition to its display at the BUMNIS pavilion, PT INTI also performed at the Eye Catching event displaying its Radiosonde and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B), which is the first Indonesian national product of aircraft navigation system. As for ADS-B product, INTI got an award during the National Innovation Product Contest on the occasion of 23rd National Technology Awakening Day. The award was directly delivered by Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education M. Nasir during the event called ‘Malam Apresiasi” in Pekanbaru.
Len came with display of Len Solar Rooftop which offers products with renewable energy concept, meanwhile Inuki had Maket Radioisotop and Radiofarmaka which featured nuclear base product for medical industries.
PAL displayed its product mock-up for Barge Mounted Power Plant (BMPP) 30 MW a.k.a the floating generation facility and Tanker 30.000 LTDW. And finally, INKA DKB had KRI Tarakan 905 (fleet tanker with replenishment at sea system), while DPS displayed the Kamojang LTDW 6500.
The product exhibition was expected to be the showcased of excellent product, performances and programs from various stakeholders in Indonesia. This marketing and publication synergy can serve as a vehicle for promotion, interaction, education, negotiation and transactions for business doers. “It is our hope that this marketing and publication synergy will not only serve as an exhibition. It can also be the way for hundreds of SOE to directly interact with the people for building public awareness on their achievement, innovation, creativity and active roles in helping develop the country,” said Asep.
