PT DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit handed over educational facilities assistance at the Pantura Region Education Transformation event in at Alun-alun Ciasem, Subang, West Java, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. The event was organized by the Subang Regency Government
DAHANA’s SER Supervisor Enok Elia said that the assistance provided by DAHANA is a form of the Company’s commitment to help educate the nation, while also carrying out the mandate of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) education pillar.
“As a large company operating in Subang, PT DAHANA wishes to progress and develop together with the surrounding community. DAHANA’s presence at this event serves as a support for the campaign to eradicate Anak Tidak Sekolah (ATS)– out-of-school kids. We hope that Subang can contribute a lot to realization of the ideals of Indonesia Emas 2045,” said Ms Elia.
DAHANA SER unit has set education programs as one of its priorities in the past few years. Various activities have been carried out for delivery of assistance such as public facilities and infrastructure for schools, and assistance for educational facilities in Subang Regency.
Ms Elia stated that education is the most basic foundation for the progress of a nation and therefore, there is no reason for school-age children not to go to school. With the Core Values AKHLAK, she hoped that each entity can collaborate to answer the problem of school dropout rates in Subang Regency.
“Hopefully DAHANA’s assistance DAHANA can raise more enthusiasm for students to learn and to be further emulated by all companies operating in Subang. Children’s education is a basic right that must be fulfilled and at the same time a prerequisite for the progress of a nation, the struggle to eradicate Children Not in School (ATS) is our shared responsibility,” concluded Ms Elia.
Representatives from the Education and Culture Office of Subang Regency, Fera Maulidya Sukarno who symbolically received assistance from PT DAHANA appreciated the steps of this Indonesian explosives company. She wished that DAHANA would continue to advance and develop into a world-class company.
