The Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit of DAHANA distributed disaster response assistance to residents affected by landslides in Cikondang Village, Cineam District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The DAHANA SER Team provided this assistance on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Eman Suherman, the Head of the DAHANA SER unit, stated that this assistance reflects the Company’s commitment to help the community during disasters. The support is aimed at alleviating the burden of affected residents and meeting their basic needs, especially as the month of Ramadan approaches.

“As a company operating in Indonesia, we have a social responsibility to assist our fellow citizens who are facing difficulties. We hope that this aid can lighten their burden and inspire them to recover,” said Mr Suherman.

According to data gathered from the local village government, a total of 103 families (households), comprising 269 individuals, were affected by the landslides. Out of this number, 93 families or 241 people were forced to evacuate, as their homes were deemed unsafe.

The landslides caused severe damage to 55 houses, while 35 others sustained moderate damage. The Cikondang Village Government has implemented emergency measures to ensure residents’ safety and provide temporary shelter for those displaced.

Rosita, the Head of Cikondang Village, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by PT DAHANA and called for more parties to join in helping residents affected by the landslides in the region.

“We are extremely thankful to PT DAHANA for their concern regarding our residents’ situation. This assistance is invaluable to the community, especially with Ramadan approaching,” said Ms Rosita.

The aid distributed by PT DAHANA includes basic food packages and ready-to-eat meals, expected to meet the essential needs of affected residents during this emergency period. This support also aims to assist the community’s consumption needs.
