PT DAHANA hosted a webinar titled “Empowering Women in the World of Work: Braver, Stronger!” The session featured the topic “From Fixed Mindset to Growth Mindset: Techniques for Removing Mental Blocks for Women in the Workplace,” presented by Bunda Nunki, the Founder of ‘Inner Mind’. The event took place in a hybrid format, both via Zoom and at the DAHANA Campus Auditorium in Subang, West Java, on April 21, 2025.

Juli Jajuli, the General Manager of Human Resources Management at DAHANA, emphasized that the commemoration of Kartini Day should serve as more than just a ceremony; it should inspire individuals to ignite Kartini’s spirit of breaking through barriers, particularly the mental limitations that can hinder one’s potential. He encouraged all female employees at DAHANA to eliminate these mental blocks to advance and grow, even reaching the highest positions within the company.

“The current reality is that many women occupy strategic positions as members of the Board of Directors in state-owned enterprises. We hope that female employees at DAHANA will achieve similar positions, though it will be a gradual process. There are ample opportunities available,” said Mr Jajuli.

In her presentation, Bunda Nunki explained that a fixed mindset is the belief that a person’s basic abilities, intelligence, and character are innate and unchangeable. Individuals with a fixed mindset often avoid challenges and risks, fearing failure, which limits their growth.

“In contrast, a growth mindset is the belief that talents, character, intelligence, and abilities can be developed with effort, time, and experience, regardless of age. As women, we must adopt a growth mindset to ensure our continuous development,” Bunda Nunki stated.

She further elaborated that individuals with a growth mindset tend to embrace challenges and new experiences. They actively seek learning opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills. When faced with obstacles, they persevere and view failures not as definitive ends, but as valuable learning experiences that contribute to their success. They appreciate constructive criticism and feedback, recognizing that their efforts are not in vain.

Ika Sulistyaningtiyas, one of DAHANA’s employees, shared that DAHANA is a company that is very supportive of women’s growth and development. She expressed hope that with a growing awareness among her female colleagues, women will emerge as leaders within DAHANA.

“As a demonstration of the growth mindset, my hope is that one day we will have a General Manager, as well as Directors and Commissioners, who originate from DAHANA employees,” she encouraged.
