Ahmad Fachruddin, General Manager of Oil, Gas, and Military, stated that DAHANA developed Dayagel Seismik to withstand extreme conditions, particularly high hydrostatic pressure in aqueous environments.
“Dayagel Seismik offers high detonation speed, making it highly effective for generating seismic waves needed in oil and gas exploration. This superior performance enhances the accuracy of geological structure mapping,” said Mr Fachruddin at the IPA Exhibition at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on May 20, 2025.
Dayagel Seismik is available in two packaging sizes: 500 grams and 250 grams, tailored to on-site requirements. The product is packed in rigid HDPE plastic cartridges with strong screw couplings, allowing flexibility in adjusting the charge per hole according to specific needs. It also possesses very low sensitivity to friction, mechanical impact, and shocks, making it safer for storage and handling. Importantly, Dayagel Seismik can only be initiated by a detonator (a primary high explosive).
Moreover, one of its key advantages is its “sleeping time,” which refers to the storage period in a wet hole, lasting up to eight weeks. This feature is beneficial for operational exploration planning.
“With its excellent emulsion structure and compact size, Dayagel Seismik is ideal for seismic operations in remote areas, thereby reducing transportation challenges. This product has gained the trust of various consumers, both domestically and internationally,” concluded Mr Fachruddin.
