PT DAHANA (Persero)’S MEETING FOR COMPANY’S BUDGETTING ELABORATION on January 2017 became one momentous event to PT DAHANA (Persero).
On 31 January 2017, DAHANA officially relocated its Cartridge Emulsion (CE) plant from Ring I Area of Tasikmalaya Plant within the Wiriadinata Airport to the Energetic Material Center (EMC) in the regency of Subang.
The relocation was indicated by the removal of epigraphy cover by PT DAHANA (Persero)’s President Commissioners Vice Admiral Widodo after the visit to the old CE plant in Tasikmalaya which still had left metal beams and columns.
PT DAHANA (Persero)’s Director of Technology and Development, Heri Heriswan said that the Tasikmalaya CE plant was established in 1991 and started producing in 1993. The plant had been a giving profit for DAHANA for almost 25 years.
“Up to now CE is the major explosive used in Indonesia. In 2016, this CE plant produced 1,300 tons a year per year. This means CE is simply DAHANA’s biggest business which has been very important to DAHANA in terms of production and employee’s benefit,” said Heri. (31/1/2017)
The CE plant relocation to the EMC area is also accompanied with related development of technology. Heri stated that Tasikmalaya CE produces in a manual way while the Subang CE plant has adopted CE new technologies. While the Tasikmalaya CE plant needed 35 people to produce 1,300 tons in a year, the Subang CE plant only needs 6 employees due to its more effective and efficient technologies used,” he concluded.
