PT DAHANA enlivened the DEFEND ID Mini Exhibition by showcasing its explosives innovation at the peak of the 48th Anniversary of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI). The Mini Exhibition event was held in the PTDI Sales Mockup Building Area, in Bandung, on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
PT DAHANA’s President Director wished a happy anniversary to PT DI, and hoped that all members of DEFEND ID including DAHANA and PT DI would contribute more to the independence of Indonesia’s Defense and Security Equipment, and could realize the ideals of establishing an Indonesian defense industry holding.
“Congratulations to PTDI on reaching the age of 48. As fellow member in the DEFEND ID holding, we hope for the best for PTDI, Indonesian companies that will return to the skies to dominate the skies of Indonesia. Hopefully PTDI can together realize the holding’s ideals, namely to become the driving force behind the independence of the Indonesian defense industry,” said Mr Syaifuddin.
During the event, DAHANA displayed explosives which are the innovation of DAHANA’s Energetic Material Center (EMC) engineers, both in the commercial line such as Dabex, Danfo, Dawagel, Dayagel, Detonator and blasting accessories. While in the military explosives line, DAHANA displayed a mock-up of the P Series Bomb and Defense Rockets.
Meanwhile, Wahyu Sofiadi, Director of Business and Cooperation of PT Len Industri (Persero) as the parent of DEFEND ID, expressed his gratitude to PTDI for holding a Mini Exhibition for the Indonesian defense industry holding. He stated that this exhibition can be a forum to strengthen collaboration, and advance innovation in each member entity.
“Happy 48th Anniversary, PTDI. I hope PTDI can again become an aerospace company respected by the world and admired by the Indonesian people. It is also our hope that with all of us in the holding, we can strengthen collaboration among holding members, advancing each other together to realize the ideals of becoming an important player in the world’s defense industry supply chain, especially in the region,” said Mr Sofiadi.
The DEFEND ID Mini Exhibition displayed defense products from PT Len Industri (Persero), PTDI, PT PINDAD, PT PAL Indonesia, and PT DAHANA. This exhibition also attracted the attention of visitors. One visitor who refused to have his name quoted said that DEFEND ID would one day become a world defense industry company.
“Wow, I am very proud of the existence of DEFEND ID. Hopefully with this holding, Indonesia can become one of the respected countries because of its sophisticated, modern, precise defense equipment production at competitive prices,” the visitor said.
