PT DAHANA (Persero) supplied another aid to flood casualties in some areas in Subang Regency. This time, the aid came in the form of basic necessities and supplied to flood casualties in Pamanukan District and handed over directly by DAHANA’s President Director Budi Antono to the Regent of Subang H. Ruhimat on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
The downpour that flushed the area of Subang all day last week caused heavy inundation in a number of areas in Subang, one of which, and the most badly effected, is Pamanukan District.
In addition to submerging houses and public facilities, the flood inundated hundreds of hectares of rice fields belonging to residents in Pagaden District. This was conveyed by the Regent of Subang who goes by the friendly name Kang Jimat.
“Hundreds of residents have been forced to flee the area because their houses and several other facilities were badly inundated,” said Kang Jimat.
He continued that currently the refugees really need basic needs such as instant food, baby food and milk, and the need for clean drinking water
“Thanks, God, DAHANA has provided the much-needed supplies,” said Kang Jimat.
Meanwhile, during the hand-over of the aid, Budi Antono hoped that this supply of assistance from DAHANA could ease the burden on the refugees. Currently the local people are not able to perform normal daily activities due to the still high level of water surface.
“DAHANA is concerned about the current flooding in the Pamanukan area. Let’s hope there will be no further flooding so that residents can return to their normal activities,” Budi said.
A day earlier, DAHANA supplied the same aid to flood casualties in Pagaden district in Subang. (rmt)
