PT DAHANA (Persero) goes on with the tradition of getting awards in various fields every year. The Company has maintained innovation and transformation in order to strengthen itself in anticipation to the even tighter competition in the explosives industry both at home and in the global world. Apart from that, DAHANA’s good performance has come as an effort to provide the costumers with the best products and services, and one way of this state-owned enterprise to continue participating in serving the country.

In 2019, the Board of Commissioners, the Board of Directors’, and all DAHANA’s employees’ performance are in a straight line with the given year’s DAHANA theme “Jumping Higher”. Corporate innovation and transformation manifesting in the production of new explosives, total service solutions, good management and financial reporting have been rewarded with various awards from both government agencies and private institutions.

This year DAHANA started the construction of the Ammonium Nitrate Plant executed in collaboration with PT Pupuk Kaltim to realize business independence in the upstream explosive, manufacture of new explosive called DAHANA Water Gel (DAWAGEL) to complement the company’s services to customers, prepare proper and timely Annual Company Financial Reports, participate in national and international exhibition forums, and deliver Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) beneficial to community. Those are DAHANA’s important record of achievements in 2019. The following is a list of what DAHANA has reaped this year.

LKTP 2019 Trophy of the Ministry of Trade, Republic of Indonesia
The Ministry of Trade, Republic of Indonesia appreciates companies duly provide Company Annual Financial Statements (LKTP) on a regular basis. LKTP 2019 appreciation was given directly by the Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto during LKTP 2018 award ceremony held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Balai Kartini, Jakarta.

The award came in two categories, namely the Foreign Investment (PMA) category and the Domestic Investment (PMDN) category, with trade or industrial sector companies for PMA and PMDN respectively. This year 12 companies received LKTP awards from the Ministry of Trade. The 12 companies were screened out of 2,035 LKTP reporting companies in 2019.

PT DAHANA (Persero) was listed as the award winner in the Domestic Investment in Industrial Sector (PMDN) sector. The 2019 LKTP Trophy was received directly by the President Director of PT DAHANA (Persero) from the Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto.

Criteria for award nominees are: submission of LKTP for three years in a row since 2015, timely submission of LKPT which is calculated based on the closing date of each company book is compared with the deadline of six months reporting time to the Ministry of Trade, and complete submission of documents consisting of company profile, opinion on LKTP from public accountants, and statement from the Board of Directors on approval of the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS). 

Previously, Trade Minister Agus Suparmanto stated that submission of the companies’ annual financial reporting tended to decline each year. In fact, the report is highly required by the government to measure the country’s economy and to serve as the government’s reference in making regulations mainly those related to distribution of investment and industrial equity. Therefore, the Ministry of Trade highly appreciates all companies that have duly reported their finances.

“This award is a form of appreciation from the Government of Indonesia to companies for their commitment and compliance in delivering LKTP in a regular, timely and proper manner to the Ministry of Trade,” Agus Suparmanto said.

In order to enforce LKTP reporting, the Government has undertaken various methods such as revision of Regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade No. 121/MPP/Kep/2/2002 on Provisions for Submission of Company’s Annual Financial Statements. One of the points in the regulation is a clause that specifies transfer of LKTP reporting methods from manual to digital. This is done in order to facilitate the company to report its financial report to the Ministry of Home Affairs in a more convenient way.

The management of PT DAHANA (Persero) is committed to delivery of routine, timely, proper LKTP to the Ministry of Trade as the latter is obligatory for the company under the order of the General Meeting of Shareholders.

“We hope that DAHANA as a state-owned enterprise can be an example for SOEs and other companies in that its LKTP is ready in a timely and proper manner. As for internal matters, DAHANA can maintain LKTP on time and correctly without any necessary delays. The shareholders expect to have a timely and proper submission of LKTP, “said Budi Antono.

Best SOE Award 2019 from Investor Magazine

Investor Magazine held the Best 2019 Financial and SOE Figures in Balai Kartini Jakarta on Thursday night, December 12, 2019. PT DAHANA (Persero) was awarded as the 2019 Best BUMN in the Strategic Industry for Non-Financial Sector. PT DAHANA (Persero)’s Finance and HR Director Asmorohadi received the award certificate presented by BeritaSatu Media Holding CEO Nicky Hogan in the presence of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto.

News Media Director of BeritaSatu Holdings, Primus Dorimulu, explained that the award for the Best SOE 2019 was judged in a qualitative way from secondary information sources and intensive discussions conducted by the judges. This award is an effort of Investor Magazine to support the Indonesian economy amid the uncertain global economy due to the prolonged trade war between China and the United States.

PT DAHANA (Persero) has prepared itself to face competition and global economic conditions by strengthening itself in various fields. As of 2019, DAHANA invested in construction of Ammonium Nitrate Plant in cooperation with PT Pupuk Kaltim in view of effort for developing more independence in production of domestic explosives. With the construction of the Ammonium Nitrate Plant, DAHANA is optimistic it can develop into a large state-owned company.

Subang Regency CSR Development Partner Award
PT DAHANA (Persero) once again won the Subang Regency Development Partner Award through the Community Development Program (PKBL)/Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 2019. The award ceremony was held in coincidence with the peak of the International Aids Day commemoration at the Subang District Government Office, December 9, 2019. Subang Regent H. Ruhimat presented the award to PT DAHANA (Persero) which was represented by the manager of Public Relations & Institution Juli Jajuli.

Under the motto “Serving the Nation Better”, DAHANA emphasizes not only in profit making but also in attempting independence aspects of the domestic explosives industry, along with the independence of the community around the company which has long been a concern for these explosives industry companies. Since 1992 DAHANA has committed and carried out various CSR activities through its Community Development Program. The program activities have been carried out in order to help improve the economy of the people residing around the company.

For the partnership program, PT DAHANA (Persero) has provided capital assistance, management training, and workshops on skills improvement and marketing strategies. Apart from that, DAHANA is also committed all effort to helping MSME partners get involved in various exhibition events from local, national to international scale. The SME sector fostered by DAHANA includes industry, agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, services, and trade.

As for the Community Development Program, DAHANA provides assistance in the form of education and training, health improvement, construction of public facilities and infrastructure, religious activities, charity for disaster affected areas, and nature conservation. The entire Community Development Program is funded by the company allowing budget of 2% of the company’s net profit.

PT DAHANA (Persero) is deeply concerned in the empowerment of the Subang community; with around 650 Subang residents are involved as direct and indirect labors. DAHANA wished that its presence can be beneficial to the people of Subang. As a form of DAHANA’s gratitude, DAHANA’s CSR Week is now held every year at the Central Management Office. International Sales & Marketing and BUMN CMO, BUMN Track
State-owned Enterprises have been seen merely from the negative side; namely allegations of corruption among SOE officials, bankruptcy, rescue of SOEs through State Capital Inclusion, and various other problems that are now hot in the public information space. In fact, there are still many SOEs that have demonstrated a series of achievements and other positive things.

In order to elevate the optimism among the SOEs people, SOEs Track with the principle of positive journalism gives appreciation to outstanding SOE’s. Under the theme “Beyond Innovation, Marketing, and Branding”, SOEs held the 2019 SOE’s Branding and Marketing Awards at the Ballroom of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Jakarta, 5 November 2019.

During the awarding event, PT DAHANA (Persero) won two awards as “International Sales & Marketing in the SOE Corporate Marketing Sector in the Mining Business Sector, Strategic Industries and Media” and “CMO Marketing Leadership in the SOE-CMO category in the Mining Business Sector, Strategic Industries and Media” which was pinned to the Director Operations of PT DAHANA (Persero) Bambang Agung.

According to Rhenald Kasali, chairman of 2019 SOE’s Branding and Marketing Award judges, managing SOEs is not easy. People often consider that the SOE’s has a lot of capital with an open market and ready human resources. In fact during the judging, he discovered that all the successes of SOEs were supported by the efforts and focus of the people working in them.

It is like what has been done by DAHANA for a long time. The state-owned enterprise which operates in the explosives industry has been facing various kinds of crises even to extent of the revocation of business licenses, but none of that has made it step back. Transformation and innovation, as well as focus are keys to the company’s progress and the reason why the Company has been awarded with many titles of achievements like the two trophies won today.

PT DAHANA (Persero) was awarded by a well-known financial magazine, Infobank and Isentia as its research partners, during 201st Infobank Digital Brand Awards 2019 for the SEO Group Category with an Asset of One to Two and Half Trillions. The award was received directly by President Director Budi Antono. The event was held at The Westin Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, May 16, 2019.

After a long research conducted by Isentia using the Social Media Monitoring method from January to December 2018, PT DAHANA (Persero) was declared as the winner. DAHANA organizes a variety of digital platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, the Web, and news portal. During this time, all digital platforms provide the latest contents from the company including company activities, outstanding employees, the latest products, and effort for making closer communication with the stakeholders.

Eko B. Supriyanto Director of the Infobank Research Bureau explained that strengthening the communication space in the digital world has become very important for companies as a communication medium between companies and stakeholders from the customers to the shareholders so that the public can conveniently get updated with company news through existing digital platforms.
