DEFEND ID recently held a successful Communications Working Meeting that gathered all companies within the SOEs Defense Industry holding. The event aimed to strengthen the organization’s communication strategy, ensuring that messages are delivered effectively and accurately, while also increasing preparedness to address potential communication crises.
In his remarks, Bobby Rasyidin, President Director of PT Len Industri (Persero), emphasized the significance of effective communication in achieving organizational goals. “If we do not master the flow of information, we will be left behind. This task is not easy and requires close collaboration among the government, industry, academia, media, and all stakeholders. Our commitment as the DEFEND ID Holding is to prioritize the Pentahelix program,” said Mr Rasyidin.
During the meeting, participants discussed DEFEND ID’s communication strategy as it relates to the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Defense, which necessitates a tailored approach to the company’s communication agendas. Participants also agreed to combat misinformation through the Turn Back Hoax program.
Abdul Haris Atbaro, DAHANA’s Operations Director who attended the event, stated that his company is prepared to support the joint communication program. According to him, the meeting’s outcomes demonstrated significant progress in corporate communication. He further emphasized that DAHANA is ready to collaborate with DEFEND ID members, as mandated by the AKHLAK core value. “We have various programs that align with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita, including the Social and Environmental Responsibility program, which presents a potential opportunity to promote DEFEND ID positively. Once again, we are ready to support and oversee the results of this DEFEND ID communication working meeting,” said Mr Atbaro.
In addition to Mr Atbaro, representatives from each company within the DEFEND ID Holding and several key figures from the Ministry of SOEs and Defense were in attendance. Notable attendees included Arya Mahendra Sinulingga, Special Staff for Communication Strategy and Public Relations of the Minister of SOEs; Brigadier General Frega Wenas Inkiriwang, Head of the Defense Information Bureau of the Ministry of Defense; Benny Siga Butarbutar, Secretary General of BP Perhumas Indonesia; Putri Viola, Spokesperson for the Ministry of SOEs; and Dian Safitri, Internal Communication Expert for the Minister of SOEs.

Therefore, companies should create a complete narrative for disseminating defense information. We hope the world recognizes the Indonesian defense industry as technologically advanced, superior in quality, competitive, and globally acknowledged,” General Inkiriwang stated.
