PT DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit delivered another assistance with clean water facilities, this time to the community in Neighbourhood III Cikareo, Sadawarna Village, Cibogo District, in Subang Regency. The assistance was received directly by Musli, Head of Neighbourhood III Cikareo, in Subang, on Monday, November 6 2023.
Chairman of PT DAHANA’s SER Unit Eman Suherman said that equal distribution of clean water facilities in Subang is an applicable program of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Environmental sector. This also shows the Company’s commitment to progress and develop together with the surrounding community.
“Today, PT DAHANA again provides assistance with clean water facilities to the community as a manifestation of the SDGs program. We hope that with this assistance we are able to overcome the impact of drought due to the prolonged dry season to make sure that people do not experience difficulties in meeting their need for clean water which has been difficult to obtain. Some people even have no other choice than using the river water,” said Mr Suherman.
Mr Suherman added that clean water facilities are a basic need for the community, especially the people of Subang. Access to clean water can make it easier for people to bathe and clean the toilet. This way people can live in a more hygienic and ultimately can protect the community from various viruses originating from dirty water.
He emphasized that the task of providing clean water can be carried out by anyone without having to wait for the authorities. Under collaboration between the government, SOEs and the private sector, all the main problems faced by the community can be handled well. He hoped that the social work carried out by DAHANA can be an example for other institutions in Subang.
The Head of Neighbourhood III Cikareo, Mr Musli expressed his gratitude for PT DAHANA’s assistance saying that clean water facilities from PT DAHANA is very helpful in raising the standard of living of the people of Subang. Micro infrastructure in the form of clean water facilities is a basic daily need for the community.
