PT DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit recently provided business facilities to its alumni. The assistance was delivered by TJSL Supervisor Enok Elia to Mahwatiningsih in Cilameri, Subang, West Java, on Monday, November 18, 2024.

Ms ELia emphasized that DAHANA is deeply committed to the surrounding community, particularly to individuals who have dedicated their careers to the company. This commitment is, among others, expressed through the provision of business support in the form of zigzag sewing machines.

“As a company, DAHANA never forgets its alumni who have witnessed our progress. This program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically pillar eight, which focuses on Decent Work and Economic Growth,” stated Ms Elia.

The SER team recognized that Mahwatiningsih was operating with only one sewing machine and often encountered challenges when fulfilling larger sewing orders. To address this, the team promptly provided additional sewing machines to help her enhance her production capabilities.

DAHANA SER is a unit of the Indonesian explosives company that focuses on social and environmental initiatives. In Subang, it is known for its dedication to helping the local government address community issues related to health, education, and the economy.

This year, DAHANA SER has implemented various programs, including planting mangrove trees along the north coast of Subang Regency, providing educational resources, offering zero-stunting counseling with supplementary food supplies, and coaching micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to help them grow.

“We are committed to advancing and developing alongside the surrounding community, particularly in Subang Regency. Therefore, we have initiated numerous social and environmental programs, one of which is provision of business facilities. We hope that this sewing machine from DAHANA benefits Mrs. Mahwatiningsih, generates additional income, and brings her blessings,” concluded Ms Elia.
