President Director of PT DAHANA Syaifuddin accompanied by Director of Finance, HR & Risk Management Ahyanizzaman and Director of Operations Yusep Nugraha delivered one set of Prosthetic Legs to Carmani, a resident of Gunung Sembung Village, Subang Regency. The handover of charity item was witnessed directly by the Head of Gunung Sembung Village at the DAHANA Campus Secretariat, Subang, West Java, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Mr Syaifuddin said that the assistance was a form of the Company’s concern to support vulnerable groups, namely people with disabilities. This assistance is part of the Company’s social responsibility to the community which is Company’s commitment to growing and developing together with the community.

“PT DAHANA is sincerely committed to progressing and developing together with the community. The Company shall advance and grow together with the surrounding community. Hopefully this assistance can be a moral support for people with disabilities and increase the enthusiasm of the beneficiaries,” said Mr Syaifuddin.

As an Indonesian explosives company operating in Subang, DAHANA really cares about the local vulnerable residents. In addition to providing prosthetic legs, DAHANA also regularly provides assistance to other vulnerable communities such as the blind community to the malnourished community.

Mr Syaifuddin added that helping vulnerable groups, especially people with disabilities, is the Company’s step to create an equal and independent society. It is hoped that it can reduce the stigma and discrimination that is often experienced by people with disabilities.

“Symbolically, with this assistance we hope that we can create an inclusive society, which can accept people with disabilities like other community groups. That way, everyone feels equally valued, and can collaborate with each other to advance the community,” said Mr Syaifuddin.

Apart from that, the set of prosthetic legs made available by PT DAHANA is the product of the Independent Prosthetic Legs Disabled Group in Purwakarta, West Java. Mr Syaifuddin hoped that this assistance will not only benefit the recipients, but can also provide economic value to the Disability Group that manufactures prosthetic legs.
