DAHANA’s fostered partner, Kaula Snack, participated in the 6th International Consumer Product Fair in Karachi, Pakistan, from December 12 to December 15, 2024. Kaula Food Indonesia, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) based in Subang Regency, produces a variety of snacks, including Cireng Chips, Fusilli Macaroni, and Popcorn.
Eman Suherman, DAHANA’s Head of Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit expressed the company’s commitment to growing and developing alongside the community. This includes empowering local MSMEs to elevate their status, such as Kaula Food Indonesia, which has now made its mark at an international exhibition in Pakistan.
“Kaula Snack is one of DAHANA’s fostered MSME partners that has successfully reached the international stage multiple times. We congratulate Kaula Food Indonesia, and we hope that this exhibition in Pakistan will help Kaula Snack expand further, create more local jobs, and make its products more globally recognized,” said Mr Suherman.
DAHANA supports MSMEs not only by providing integrated capital loan assistance through Bank Rakyat Indonesia, but also by means of various forms of guidance. This includes online marketing support, aesthetic packaging assistance, training for skill enhancement, and opportunities for MSMEs to participate in international exhibitions.
Several of DAHANA’s fostered partners, which range from those in the coffee industry to handicrafts, briquettes, and snacks, have successfully penetrated international markets, including Malaysia, Arabia, ASEAN countries, and Europe. Mr Suherman hoped that the elevation of Subang’s MSMEs to the global market will inspire others to improve their quality and capabilities for collective advancement.
Geja Ardikamal, the owner of Kaula Food Indonesia, expressed gratitude to everyone who supported Kaula Snack’s participation in the exhibition in Pakistan. He described the event as a golden opportunity to showcase Indonesian MSME products, particularly those from Subang, to the global market.
“This expo is a platform for us to promote and expand our product marketing to foreign countries. Alhamdulillah, the response has been quite positive, although we still have a lot of work to do to ensure our products can be successfully introduced in Pakistan,” said Mr Ardikamal.
