PT DAHANA has again took part in alleviating stunting which has become a special concern of the government. DAHANA’s related action was carried out in the form of education on stunting and provision of additional food to the Subang community around the Company, on Tuesday, 17 October 2023.

Yuliantina Suhendra Yusup RPN representing DAHANA’s Tataliwargi said in her speech that the stunting alleviation event carried out by DAHANA was a form of the Company’s concern for the surrounding community, especially in realizing zero stunting in Subang Regency.

“To achieve this target, surely joint efforts are required. One of them is the collaboration that DAHANA is carrying out today, which is collaborating with many parties to help reduce the stunting rate, especially in Subang Regency. “On this occasion we would also like to express our gratitude for the participation of all parties,” said Mrs Yusuf.

Referring to data from the Ministry of Health regarding the results of the Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia fell from 24.4% in 2021 to 21.6% in 2022. President Joko Widodo has also set a target for 2024 at the figure of 14%.

The government has also issued Presidential Decree number 72 of 2021 on the Acceleration of Reduction of Stunting with 5 pillars. The first pillar is commitment, the second pillar is stunting prevention, the third pillar is the ability to converge, the fourth pillar is provision of good food, and the fifth pillar is creation of breakthrough innovation and good data.

In line with Mrs Yusup, Chair of DAHANA;s SER Eman Suherman also emphasized DAHANA’s commitment to eradication of stunting. SER unit has been working in various places in Subang and West Java to carry out outreach and supply additional food to people in need.

“Stunting is dangerous because it can slow down our children’s brain performance and physical development. “Therefore, DAHANA has stepped in to take part in realizing Indonesia Zero Stunting, in hoping that we can have a strong, intelligent and reliable next generation in facing various problems,” said Mr Suherman.

In outreach activities, DAHANA collaborated with dr. Andriano from UPTD Cibogo Community Health Center as speaker. This stunting education and food supply activity is part of the 2023 DAHANA SER Week activities which were held to commemorate PT DAHANA’s 57th anniversary.
