PT DAHANA showcased blasting technology innovations at 7th th International Drill & Blast Conference 2024. The conference was organized by the Indonesian Mining Experts Association (Perhapi), Indonesia Blasting Engineers Society (IBES), and Asprodispa and Petromindo. The conference, which brought together blasting practitioners and experts from various countries was held at The Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, West Java, June 9-10, 2024.
DAHANA Operations Director Yusep Nugraha said that DAHANA’s presence at the conference with the theme “Optimization of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in Blasting Industry” was the Company’s step to network with Information Technology (IT) and artificial intelligence (AI) experts in the global mining industry.
“Apart from that this meeting is important to make sure that companies can continue to update their knowledge about the adaptation of IT and AI technology in the blasting sector. Currently, the development of AI has reached commercial blasting or mining and has brought many changes. DAHANA as a company that is highly focused on innovation certainly views this conference as very valuable,” said Mr Nugraha.
As is known, the drilling and blasting industry has an crucial role in the mining world in extracting important natural resources from the earth. In the future, the mining world is predicted to remain at the forefront as the world’s need for various types of metals increases, including nickel, silica sand and rare earth metals.
On the other hand, the use of artificial intelligence technology is spreading throughout all sectors, including the blasting industry. The technology has the potential to not only simplify processes and reduce costs, but also significantly increase productivity, safety, and ultimately increase company revenue.
During the conference, DAHANA exhibited explosives products and blasting equipment that adopt digital technology such as Mobile Manufacturing Trucks and Blasting Digitalization Services for Mining.
“We are currently working with EPC Asia Pacific to develop Smart Drilling and Blasting with the Vertex digitalization technology platform, which is expected to make blasting safer, more effective and efficient; it is expected to bring greater benefits to DAHANA consumers throughout Indonesia,” concluded Mr Nugraha.
In addition to exhibiting blasting technology innovations, DAHANA also sent Manager Angga Maulana Drajat (Operational Manager) to present Blasting Digitalization Services for Mining Industry at the conference.
