DAHANA was appointed to host the DEFEND ID Cup 2024 event to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of DEFEND ID. This year DAHANA hosted the Volleyball Sport on 22 February 2024 and the Basketball Sport from 29 February – 1 March 2024. This annual tournament within the DEFEND ID Holding was opened directly by DAHANA’s President Director Wildan Widarman at Bale DAHANA, Subang, West Java on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Mr Widarman said in his speech that the 2nd anniversary of DEFEND ID carries the theme “Strength in Unity, Empowering Golden Indonesia” with the hope that this defense industry holding will be able to realize the ideals of establishing the holding as a strong company and able to become an important player in the global defense industrial supply chain.
“We welcome colleagues from DEFEND ID Holding members at PT DAHANA, in Subang, West Java. It is my hope that with this activity, the closeness of the DEFEND ID extended family will truly become a great potential and concrete step for us to support the realization of the mission and intention of DEFEND ID Holding,” said Mr Widarman.
Volleyball is included this year in the DEFEND ID Cup. The volleyball sport was attended by 5 DEFEND ID member companies, namely PT Len Industri (Persero), PT DAHANA, PT PINDAD, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, and PT Pindad Enjiniring Indonesia.
Mr Widarman hoped that the DEFEND ID Cup activity can become a means of consolidation, talent competition and achievements of holding employees, as well as an opportunity to increase collaboration which will strengthen each entity, as raised in the theme: strong in unity, to encourage a Golden Indonesia.
“We wish you a happy competition with enthusiasm and uphold fair play to achieve the best performance. Winning or losing is normal. What is extraordinary is the friendship between us all. “Finally, by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I declared that the DEFEND ID CUP 2024 Volleyball tournament is officially commenced,” said Mr Widarman.
PT Pindad won first place in volleyball after defeating PT Dirgantara Indonesia in the final round with a score of 3 – 1. Meanwhile, in the match for third place, DAHANA succeeded in stopping PT Len Industri (Persero) with a convincing score of 3 – 0.
