DAHANA hosted the DEFEND ID Cup basketball championship which was held to commemorate DEFEND ID’s 2nd anniversary. The participants fought with enthusiasm at Bale DAHANA, Subang, West Java, from 29 February to 1 March, 2024.
Chairman of the DAHANA Contingent Cipta Ismaya Kusumah, said that basketball competitions are one of the events that is eagerly awaited by the entire DEFEND ID company contingents. Outside of work time, each team has been practicing together before the match is held.
“We congratulate colleagues from PT Pindad, PT DI, and PT LRS who have won the DEFEND ID Cup in the basketball sport this year. We would like to thank all the participants who have competed with fair play and enthusiasm. Hopefully this will bring virtuousness to DEFEND ID,” said Mr Kusumah.
The DEFEND ID Cup basketball championship was attended by PT Len Industri (Persero), PT DAHANA, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT Pindad, PT. Len Railway Systems, PT Len Telekomunikasi Indonesia, PT Surya Energi Indotama, and PT Pindad Enjiniring Indonesia. Each company sent one team to compete.
DEFEND ID’s 2nd anniversary this time carried the theme “Strength in Unity, Empowering Golden Indonesia” in hoping that the defense industry holding will be able to realize the ideals of establishing the holding as a strong company capable of becoming an important player in the global defense industry supply chain.
As is known, DEFEND ID was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in April 2022 as a step to accelerate the realization of independence in defense and national security equipment, increase the value of the Domestic Content Level (TKDN), and participate in improving the Indonesian economy.
“Hopefully the holding of the DEFEND ID Cup can be an inspiration for all holding employees to improve their performance, collaborate with each other as a team, and uphold AKHLAK values to make sure that DEFEND ID can achieve its goal, namely becoming an important player in the global defense industry supply chain,” concluded Mr Kusumah.
