DAHANA showcased its defense products at the Vietnam International Defense Expo (VINDEX) 2024, which was organized by the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam. The event took place from December 19 to 22, 2024, at the Gia Lam Airport Exhibition Center in Hanoi.
Yusep Nugraha, DAHANA’s Director of Technology and Development, stated that the company’s participation in VINDEX 2024 was part of its efforts to explore potential collaborations with foreign defense industries and to expand the market for its defense products.
“We hope that Indonesian defense products, particularly those made by DAHANA, will gain greater recognition and trust from consumers in other countries. As part of the DEFEND ID initiative, we aim for Indonesian defense industry companies to play a significant role in the global defense supply chain,” Mr Nugraha commented at the Subang Campus on December 19.
During the exhibition, DAHANA presented product prototypes including the R-Han 450 Defense Rocket, R-Han 122b, Ammonium Nitrate, Dabex, Dayagel Series, Bomb P Series, and the Dayadet non-electronic detonator.
As a member of DEFEND ID, DAHANA is committed to developing military explosives products to support the independence of Indonesia’s Defense and Security Equipment (Alpalhankam) and to meet the energetic material needs of the Indonesian military.
Mr Nugraha also emphasized the importance of the propellant factory which is now being developed by DAHANA in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Defense’s Research and Development Agency. He expressed hope that the project would be realized soon, enhancing Indonesia’s capacity to produce raw materials for Small Caliber Munitions and Large Caliber Munitions (MKK/MKB).
“The construction of the propellant factory will enhance our independence in defense equipment, particularly in the area of munitions. We earnestly seek support from various parties to ensure the smooth progress of this project,” Mr Nugraha concluded.
At the VINDEX 2024 Exhibition, themed “PEACE, Friendship, Cooperation for Mutual Development,” the Indonesian Ministry of Defense showcased DEFEND ID and several domestic defense companies. In addition to the exhibition, the Ministry engaged in various cooperation initiatives with global defense industries.
