PT DAHANA donated two wheelchairs to Subang veterans who are members of the Indonesian Veterans Legion (LVRI) Cibogo District. This donation was handed over by the Chair of DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit, Eman Suherman to Dadang Suherlan at the Secretariat of the LVRI of Cibogo District in Subang, on Tuesday, April 14 2023.
Mr Suherman said that veterans were fighters who helped liberate Indonesia from colonialism and reach the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, they deserve appreciation and concern from the next generation in the difficult times.
“We hope that this assistance can help ease the burden on the fighters, as well as raise the fighting spirit of the next generation so that they can fulfil Indonesia’s independence and realize our common ideals, namely a just and prosperous Indonesia,” said Mr Suherman.
The wheelchairs donated by DAHANA will later be used by Mr Padma and Mr Sardi, two Subang senior veterans who are in need of wheelchairs to help them do their daily activities. In addition to wheelchairs, during the commemoration of Heroes Day, DAHANA also delivered assistance in the form of basic necessities and cash for veterans.
