The donation originates from PT DAHANA (Persero)’s directors and commissioners’ religious holiday allowance 2020 for assistance in preventing Covid-19.
PT DAHANA (Persero) donated hundreds of food packages to the affected communities Covid-19.
The packages were delivere directly by Commissioner of PT DAHANA (Persero) Mustar Bona Ventura to the community in the Muara Angke Fishermen Village, Penjaringan, Jakarta, on Thursday evening, 2 July 2020.
The event started with symbolic provision of staple food on a fishing boat that was pulled over on the Jakarta bay beach. Mustar said that the nine-basic necessities from these explosive SOEs were a form of Covid-19 counter measures that also had a big impact on fishermen in Muara Angke.
Declining demand on fish supplies has prevented some fishermen from going to sea. In addition, residents who earn their living daily from shelling shells, carrying fish, and also experience the economic slowdown due to Covid-19.
“Fishermen are economically affected and therefore they need a helping hand to get them back on their feet. This assistance consists of a package of basic necessities and masks, “said Mustar.
Following the food delivery, Mustar symbolically continued by sending food items door to door talking with the people in the houses of local residents, to provide moral and encouragement to residents who are currently in a position to survive in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The community welcomed the assistance from the Directors and Commissioners of DAHANA.
“We thank DAHANA for helping us, hopefully DAHANA will progress further, DAHANA will be excellent,” the residents said together.
Apart from Muara Angke, previously PT DAHANA (Persero) had distributed groceries at several points in the country, especially around DAHANA’s work area, both in Subang, Jakarta, and around DAHANA’s sites scattered across many islands.
