PT DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit (TJSL) provided business facility assistance to the Nahdlatus Syubhan Islamic Boarding School Foundation. A member of DAHANA’s TJSL Team, Ruskalim representing the company, handed over fish seedlings on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Nahdlatus Syubhan Islamic Boarding School, Tegal Tangkil, Subang.

For the assistance, DAHANA supplied 12,000 tilapia seeds weighing 200 kg, and well as 250 kg of floating feed. The seedlings are sown in ponds belonging to the Islamic Boarding School which sits in a total area of up to 1.5 hectares. The fish will independently managed by the students as PT DAHANA expected.

“The provision of such business facility is intended to initiate entrepreneurship learning to students to help them develop independence and become the next generation who are involved and skilled in in agriculture, especially fish farming,” said Head of DAHANA’s SER Eman Suherman.

Mr Suherman added that the supply of fish seedlings was in accordance with DAHANA’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the educational and economic aspects. He also hoped that Nahdlatus Syubhan will be able to bring his students to success in this world and the hereafter.

“With this assistance, it is our hope that Nahdlatus Syubhan can turn into an educational institution capable of giving birth to generations of students who are reliable in the field of agriculture and able to do business independently, so that they can make a positive contribution to society and the country,” said Mr Suherman.

Meanwhile, Agus Cartiman, Chairman of the Pondok Pesantren Foundation, is very grateful to PT Dahana for the assistance provided. He wished that this assistance is not just a charity, but also brings blessings to everybody involved.

“We thank PT DAHANA for the assistance. We hope, with this assistance, the students’ enthusiasm in in the fisheries entrepreneurship will increase and lead the way to success,” said Mr Cartiman.

The handing over of business assistance, apart from the chairman of the foundation, was also attended by the management of the foundation and the Muslim boarding school and foundation elders. All attendees hoped that this assistance can have a positive impact in efforts to develop education and foster students in term of fisheries entrepreneurship.
