PT DAHANA (Persero) worked in collaboration with the Subang Regency’s National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to deliver socialization on prevention the hazard of of narcotics to students at SMKN (State Vocational School) Cibogo. The campaign was held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at SMKN Cibogo.
The Head of DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), Eman Suherman said, socialization for prevention of narcotics abuse to the younger generation, especially students, is very important, as they are the next generation of the nation that we must protect and keep away from the hazard of narcotics.
“Young people are future leaders, a very valuable national asset, so we have to make sure they are protected from drugs that can damage their future,” said Mr Suherman.
Based on BNN data, there was a significant increase in the amount of confiscated drug. In 2021, in just 3 months, BNN confiscated 808.67 kilograms of methamphetamine and 3,462.75 kilograms of marijuana.
In his presentation, the Head of the Subang Regency National Narcotics Agency AKBP Hery Sudrajat conveyed the dangers of drugs that currently target teenagers, including school students. The National Narcotics Agency is committed to continuing to carry out massive socialization to students on prevention of use of drugs.
“It is my hope that those who are victims, addicts, abusers, immediately report to the agency for free rehabilitation,” said Mr Sudrajat.
Following the presentation of the National Narcotics Agency, DAHANA TJSL delivered sports facilities for students at SMKN Cibogo, in hoping that sport activities will keep students busy doing physical activities by exercising and avoiding drugs.
“After participating in this event, I think I have better insight and knowledge (on the danger of narcotics) and hopefully we will not all fall into the trap and become victims. Thanks, DAHANA and BNN for giving us this very valuable socialization,” said Rizky, a student of SMKN Cibogo.
