“This socialization is implemented in line with the form of the Implementation of the Occupational and Environmental Health Safety System in PT DAHANA, to support efforts to prevent and eradicate drugs. Through this socialization, all employees can increase awareness and understanding of the dangers of drugs, and encourage concrete actions in preventing them. We all have an important role in creating an environment free from drug abuse,” said Mr Yusuf to all participants.
Mr Yusuf hoped that through the P4GN socialization, DAHANA people can apply knowledge about the dangers of drugs in everyday life and spread it to people around them, and can support each other, work together, and commit to building a better future, free from drugs. Zero Tolerance for drugs.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of BNN West Bandung & Head of the West Java BNN Prevention Team Yohanes Eko Ariyanto presented his material on the condition of drugs in Indonesia, their distribution map, types of drugs circulating in Indonesia, and the dangers of drugs for the survival of the Indonesian nation.
Within the world drug market, Indonesia is a strategic area for drug distribution, due to its large population, very long coastline with many unofficial ports, and high selling prices compared to other countries in the Southeast Asian region.
“The prevalence rate of drug abusers in 2023 has decreased compared to 2021, but the number of abusers is still relatively high, reaching 3.33 million people, with the majority of users being the productive age,” explained Mr Ariyanto.
Furthermore, he explained the dangers of drugs that have an impact on individuals both mentally, physically, and environmentally, with a broad long-term impact such as decreased community productivity, decreased purchasing power, and the threat of losing Indonesia’s golden generation. Mr Ariyanto advised that DAHANA personnel can take part in collaboration to increase awareness of people around them about the dangers of drugs.
