PT DAHANA organized an In-house Training (IHT) on the latest blasting technology at the PT Multi Harapan Utama (MHU)) Jobsite Project. The training which was aimed at sharing knowledge about Blasting in the Final Wall Area and Blasting Digitalization was held at the Aston Hotel, Samarinda, East Kalimantan on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
PT DAHANA’s GM of General Mining Division 1, Herry Sudaryanto, said that PT MHU has entrusted PT DAHANA to provide blasting services that ranged from management of explosives permits, provision of explosives, and blasting services, including organization of an annual IHT.
“PT DAHANA has indeed committed to PT MHU to provide annual IHT with expert trainers. They will deliver material according to the current issues in MHU while also discussing what is trending in the world of drilling & blasting,” said Mr Sudaryanto.
The IHT Blasting activity is PTT DAHANA’s step to ensure occupational health and safety in the blasting process to make sure it can realize zero accidents in blasting operations in the Final Wall Area. During the IHT, DAHANA also informed about DAHANA’s latest technology in blasting digitalization.
This time, the IHT involved Dwi Handoyo Marmer (blasting practitioner) who presented the material on blasting in the Final Wall Area, and Slamet Rahman Jaka from EPC Groupe – Asia Pacific who shared knowledge on blasting digitalization.
Last July PT DAHANA began introducing to the public a sophisticated digital tool developed together with EPC Groupe Asia Pacific to integrate various aspects of blasting. This system is known as the Vertex System which offers a comprehensive solution for planning, implementation, monitoring, and analysis, as well as ensuring optimal performance and security systems.
Meanwhile, MHU Jsp DTU-1 Operations Superintendent Eddy Dharmawan added that this IHT activity was attended by 69 participants from all departments of PT MHU ranging from the management level, production section, HSE (Health, Safety & Enviro), External, and all work partners (Mining Contractors) in PT MHU such as, PT AMM, PT CK, PST LGG, PST LGG North, Hanwa, PT TMJU, PT MKI, PT MMI, and PT AMB.
“It is our hope that after participating in this activity, participants can learn the technology and how to carry out blasting to get satisfactory results,” said Mr Dharmawan.
