PT DAHANA recently held a ceremony to mark the export of Megadrive Cartridge Emulsion Explosives to Australia. This event signified DAHANA’s seventh shipment of explosives to Australia and took place at the DAHANA Campus in Subang, West Java, on Friday, April 11, 2025.

In his address, Hary Irmawan, President Director of DAHANA, highlighted that this seventh export is a significant milestone demonstrating the company’s success and commitment to entering the global market. This shipment involved 250,000 kilograms ( 250 tons) of Megadrive Cartridge Emulsion products.

“The trust of our international partners, particularly within the Australian mining sector, reflects that PT DAHANA’s explosives meet global standards and can compete internationally. Beyond being a business achievement, we view this moment as a strategic step in reinforcing PT DAHANA’s role as a provider of high-quality explosives solutions for both domestic needs and the global mining industry,” said Mr Irmawan.

The Cartridge Emulsion product, developed at DAHANA’s Energetic Material Center, was selected for its proven capability to create efficient explosions with minimal excessive vibration, making it safe for various geological conditions and extreme climates in Australia.

To maintain this trust, DAHANA is committed to continuously improving the quality of its explosives and adhering to all existing procedures—from production and packaging to shipping, ensuring the highest standards are met for the Megadrive Cartridge Emulsion products used by Australian consumers.

Brigadier General TNI Heri Pribadi, Secretary of the Directorate General of Defence Potential of Ministry of Defence and counsellor of DEFEND ID, reminded everyone to consistently follow the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and improve quality control. He expressed hope that PT DAHANA would enhance its performance to exceed set targets.

“Congratulations to PT DAHANA on reaching this seventh export since 2019. Achieving this milestone is one thing, but maintaining it is extraordinary. Obtaining the numerous required certifications is challenging, so this trust is hard-won. I hope today’s export is not the last but rather marks an increase in our shipments—potentially moving from twice a year to three times a year if necessary,” stated the General.

Benny Benyamin, representing Johnex Explosives as a consumer of DAHANA in Australia, remarked that DAHANA’s explosives are favored by Australian mining practitioners due to their reliability and ability to deliver desired blasting results.

“We, along with our consumer companies, are very satisfied with DAHANA explosives. We look forward to continuing this cooperation in the future, with even greater intensity,” added Mr Benyamin.
