To commemorate World Environment Day 2026, PT Dahana, through its Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (K3LH) Department and the Social and Environmental Responsibility Unit (TJSL), conducted a community environmental service activity in collaboration with SMKN Cibogo, Subang Regency, on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The event, attended by students from SMKN Cibogo, PT Dahana’s cleaning team, the K3LH Department, and the Social and Environmental Responsibility Unit (TJSL), aimed to raise awareness and foster a sense of responsibility regarding the importance of maintaining cleanliness and preserving the environment.

The series of activities began with a commemoration of World Environment Day, followed by an educational session on waste management, the wise use of energy and water, and the importance of protecting the environment. After the educational session, all participants carried out a community service activity to clean the SMKN Cibogo school grounds as well as the area around PT Dahana’s Al Akhdar Mosque, extending to the soccer field.

Ivan Angga Maulana, Senior Manager of K3L and Security at PT Dahana, stated in his remarks that the observance of World Environment Day is not merely a ceremonial event, but also a momentum to build a sustainable culture of environmental care.

“Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Major change can begin with simple steps, such as disposing of trash properly, sorting waste by type, and keeping our surroundings clean. In line with the slogan for World Environment Day 2026, ‘Time to Act for the Climate,’ we encourage everyone to play a role through concrete actions, particularly among the younger generation,” said Ivan.

The Principal of SMKN Cibogo, Dede Saryono, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between PT Dahana and SMKN Cibogo in the World Environment Day commemoration activities.

“We would like to thank PT Dahana for inviting the students to directly participate in educational activities and concrete actions to protect the environment. Activities like this are highly beneficial because they not only provide knowledge but also instill habits and a character of environmental care in the students. We hope that such positive collaborations can continue in the future,” said Dede.

Meanwhile, PT Dahana’s Manager of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), Soffia Mustikasari, stated that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to encouraging community and youth involvement in environmental conservation efforts.

“PT Dahana believes that environmental sustainability can be achieved through collaboration involving various stakeholders, including the education sector. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage the younger generation to become agents of change capable of adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. We hope that the small steps we take together today will have a lasting positive impact on the environment,” said Soffia.

Through a spirit of mutual cooperation and collaboration, PT Dahana hopes that the commemoration of World Environment Day 2026 will serve as a reminder that every individual plays a vital role in creating a better environment for both current and future generations.
