Batch VI BUMN Bakti Volunteers – Subang participated in the closing ceremony. The activity was supported by Holding DEFEND ID consisting of PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Pindad, and PT DAHANA which took place from August 15 to August 17, 2024, with various kinds of social community activities. The closing ceremony was held at the DAHANA Campus, Subang, West Java, on August 17, 2024.
Putra Akbar Pangestu, Executive Staff of the Deputy for Human Resources, Technology, and Information of the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) in his remarks said that the BUMN Bakti Volunteers activity is one form of implementation of SOEs core values, namely AKHLAK, especially for values of collaboration and harmony.
“Thank you very much to DEFEND ID and fellow volunteers. The BUMN Bakti Volunteers were very successful in four batches. We hoped that the alumni of these volunteer services will not only serve here, but also later when they return to the company. Please take the knowledge, the social spirit with you. You have learned about developing MSMEs. Please develop it in their respective places,” said Mr Pangestu.
For three days, the BUMN Bakti Volunteers were involved in a dense social community events, from planting clove trees, learning culture and customs; managing business for Subang typical souvenir, giving educational care action, to becoming an officer at the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony.
The Ministry of SOEs acknowledged that the enthusiasm of the BUMN Bakti Volunteers was very high, tens of thousands of SOEs people register each year, but only 100 are accepted. Mr Pangestu appreciated the enthusiasm of the BUMN Bakti Volunteer candidates and hoped that this activity could continue with a larger number.
“Our fellow volunteers are aware of how cool DEFEND ID, LEN, PINDAD and DAHANA are. The Ministry of SOEs hoped that, God willing, the volunteer service can continue in the future, with more partiicipants from DEFEND ID; just make sure you tell this good experience to other friends,” added Mr Pangestu.
Meanwhile, DAHANA President Director Syaifuddin said that he was very happy with the existence of the BUMN Volunteer Service Batch VI – Subang. He said that the volunteers can be SOEs ambassadors within the community. Volunteers can be a bridge between the company and the community.
“We thank you on behalf of the management. Goodluck and return to your respective places. We hope that in the future you can stop by here again. Hopefully owing to positive and significant value, don’t forget to pass on your knowledge, pass it on to your friends,” said Mr Syaifuddin.
