PT DAHANA held a ceremony to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in 2023. The event which was attended by employees and students around the Company was led directly by the President Director of PT DAHANA Wildan Widarman at the DAHANA Football Field Subang, 17 August 2023.
Following the ceremony was the celebration of independence which was enlivened by social activities and traditional games in which employees and the local people participated.
In his remarks, Mr Widarman said that commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day was a gift to be grateful for as that was the first time to be held after the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Thank God, today we commemorate the 78th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in a good shape. Let’s be grateful for being able to carry out the commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia’s anniversary with great fanfare and joy under the energy of independence after previously being hindered by the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Mr Widarman.
During the event, the President Director handed over the MPS100 waste destruction device to Cibogo Vocational High School which was represented by the school’s principal. Mr Widarman hoped that this device could be used in an optimum way so that it would leave an impact especially on waste management in the school environment. The collaboration program between DAHANA, National Board for Research and Innovation, and Cibogo Vocational School is a form of the Company’s commitment to the environment and education sector.
Apart from that, the 78th anniversary of independence was enlivened by various fun games such as the national/regional traditional dress contest, tug of war, wooden sandal race, sack race, facial make up, and cracker eating. PT DAHANA’s celebration of independence was also supported by Small and Medium Enterprises (UMK) assisted by Dahana’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) unit which sold snacks.
Mr Widarman hoped that the activities of independence day celebration can increase the sense of nationalism among the participants, especially DAHANA’s people. Mr Widarman believed, that under the high sense of nationalism and guided by AKHLAK’s core values, PT DAHANA could elevate the Company’s productivity.
“Hopefully we can emulate the values of the struggle of the heroes of independence; especially for SOEs employees, where such vales can help reduce the seeds of radicalism within the company. Happy 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!” concluded Mr Widarman.
